About My Research
My research concerns digital compositing and other forms of postproduction technology, transnational practice for contemporary popular cinema and film aesthetics. Currently I am focused on the following two related research questions. First, what are the factors that inform the national, transnational and global digital compositing practice for contemporary film industry. Second, in what ways and to what extend do national, transnational and global compositing practices influence the aesthetics of contemporary mainstream cinema. This research aims to benefit the quality and affordability of digital compositing in the film industry and informs the use of compositing technology as well as practice for human creativity.
